Located in Clermont, Heritage Hills is a gated central florida retirement community being built by Lennar Homes. While Lennar builds several all ages communities, they are building several active adult and age restricted communities as well. They are perhaps not as well know as Del Webb, but they have been turning out some great communities lately so they’re definitely worth a look.
Heritage Hills main attraction is their 19,000 square foot clubhouse which has some pretty unique features. There is of course an outdoor resort type pool and spa, tennis courts, shuffleboard and bocce courts. Then inside you have a fitness center, aerobics/dance studio, billiard and card rooms, a library and a computer room. What stands out as things you don’t see all that often are the golf simulator as well as the on-site vineyard.
The golf simulator is pretty neat, and helps make up for the fact that there is no golf course in heritage Hills, although there are plenty in the surrounding areas. There is also a chipping and putting green.
The on-site vineyard really surprised me. It will be interesting to see how this turns out and how popular of an amenity it becomes. Florida is not exactly known for having the best wine, but there are some parts of Florida that can turn out some decent varietals so this is interesting if you are into that sort of thing.
Like most communities of this type, Heritage Hills has a full time community activities director whose sole job is to make sure that there are always plenty of activities going on for residents. This is almost a given today in retirement communities across Florida.
Single-family homes at Heritage Hills start in the mid $100,000′s and there are specials on homes the builder currently has in inventory. Check out the community website to find out more about Heritage Hills by Lennar.
