River Strand Community Review

River Strand is a gated, golf and country club community located in Bradenton on the West coast of Florida. Like many other Tampa retirement communities, River Strand is not age restricted, but the focus on golf and other amenities makes it appealing to retirees.

For most people, the highlight of River Strand is the Arthur Hills designed 27-hole championship golf course. The first class practice facility features an aqua driving range, three practice greens for short game practice, as well as a putting green. The fully stocked pro shop carries all the biggest golf brands, and they’ll be happy to find something for you if they don’t have the item you’re looking for in stock.

To accompany the golf course, River Strand has a 30,000 square foot clubhouse which houses all the resident activities, the fitness center, a lap pool, resistance pool, recreation pool, spa, and more. A full time activities director is on staff to make sure residents of River Strand have plenty to do. The clubhouse also has a bar and grill, and a dining room serving lunch and dinner.

If tennis is your game, River Strand has 5 lit clay courts and 3 tennis pros on staff offering private lessons, as well as group lessons and clinics.

When complete River Strand will be home to 5 unique neighborhoods, each with a Tuscan flair. Lots will have a variety of view choices including golf course view, water view, and conservation/natural area.
