Verona Walk – Naples, FL

Verona Walk is a Naples Florida community that is not strictly a retirement community as anyone can live there, but, the community is certainly ideal for retiring boomers. Verona Walk is being developed by DiVosta Homes, a division of Pulte Homes, which is the parent company of perhaps the most well know builder/developer of retirement communities, Del Webb.

VeronaWalk is a lakefront, gated community with single-family, patio and townhomes in a variety of floorplans to fit just about any housing size requirement you may have. When complete, VeronaWalk will have close to 2,000 homes.

When you look at enough communities, you’ll notice that a lot of the homes begin to look the same. When this is the case you really need to take a close look at the amenities a community has to help you make a smart decision. Yes, the house is important, but its also very important for your longevity and quality of life that you remain active and engaged in physical and social activity.

VeronaWalk has plenty of opportunities for you to do this. In addition to retail businesses, a restaurant, bank, hair salon, travel agency, post office and nail salon, The Town Center is loaded with amenities. These include a resort pool, lap pool, basketball court, bocce court, kids playground, eight lighted tennis courts and a fully loaded fitness center.

There are also hiking and biking trails that take advantage of the picturesque views of the lakes at VeronaWalk. While there is no golf course in Verona Walk, there are plenty in the Naples area. The community does have a full-time activities director on staff to make sure that the calendar stays full with fun and enriching activities for residents to enjoy. Visit website.

We are 52 years old and plan to relocate to naples and we are trying to figure out the differences between Veronawalk and Lely. We like Lely’s amenities but it has a great disparity of price range homes and is not man gated and can get expensive with HOA and players’s club fees ( I have no idea how often they increase them). I have heard players club is overrated. Verona walk on the other hand is less expensive, prices are more uniform, it is man gated, has a year around social director and all houses have lake view. I would appreciate your comments

Just purchased a home in Verona. We think the amenities are great, and like the view from our lot.

The lots are not wide, buy have enough depth to make up for it. Privacy walls are common, and it looks like landscaping will grow to create privacy as time goes on.

I am a year round Naples resident. You can certainly tell a difference in traffic when the snowbirds head back north (taking their American Express xcards with them – the businesses miss them alot!). My current drive from home to I-75 is 8-12 minutes in the summer, 14-20 minutes in the winter. Morning commute is fine; evening drive home frustrating.

    Hope it helps.

Information about Florida retirement communities would be much more useful, if some description on the price range of homes were included, some cost per square foot data, costs for HOA’s and so forth, utilities etc. There is no point in trying to entice people to some community without some information about the cost of living and prices of homes.

I purchased in Verona Walk in January 2011. Although a part timer, going back and forth to New Jersey, the development is absolutley beautiful. I have looked at other developments and can say that Verona Walk offers the ‘best bang for the buck”. Will be going down next weekend and can’t wait. Great location equidistant to Marco Island and downtown Naples. Waited a couple years before I pulled the trigger and glad I did. Should you choose Verona Walk I do not think you will be disappointed.
