Headquartered in Palm Beach County, Kolter Homes builds homes and communities in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.
Cresswind is their brand of communities for those 55 or better.
Similar to Pulte Homes’ “Del Webb“, GL Homes’ “Valencia“, D.R. Horton’s “Freedom”, Shea Homes’ “Trilogy”, and Taylor Morrison’s Esplanade brand, Cresswind is geared toward those seeking the best communities for active adult living.
One of the hardest things about retiring and moving to Florida is trying to figure out which part of Florida is right for you. Kolter Homes tries to solve this problem by building their Cresswind communities in some of the best parts of the state.
Here's a list of the Cresswind communities in Florida currently selling new homes:

Have you lived in or visited a Cresswind community? Let us know what you thought in the comments below!
We first visited Del Webb at Lakewood Ranch and honestly wasn’t impressed. We then visited Cresswind and thought the homes were much nicer. We walked through a few homes under construction at Del Webb and Cresswind and thought the Cresswind homes were better built and had more attention to detail. I do have a few problems, but they are not exclusive to Kotler or Cresswind. Lot premiums are a given, but for the majority of lots its just a money grab. CDDs are a given, so one has to actively look to avoid them. All that being said, Cresswind is a nice, laid out development with beautiful homes.
The only current negative to Cresswind at Lakewood Ranch is the future development that will be adjacent to the north. Not something that Kotler controls, but imagine buying your dream retirement home and backing to a house with 5 kids and 3 dogs.
