Del Webb Ponte Vedra, previously known as Riverwood by Del Webb at Nocatee, is one of two Jacksonville retirement communities by Del Webb. Del Webb Ponte Vedra is a somewhat rare find in a 55-plus community because of its proximity to the ocean.

Del Webb Ponte Vedra is a gated, active-adult community in northeast Florida. It's located near the prestigious Ponte Vedra area, and it's just minutes from Atlantic Ocean beaches. This master-planned community has been designed to meet the demanding needs of the 55-and-older set, and it caters to people who like to stay busy. Whether you prefer intense physical workouts or just want to live in a place that has an active social scene, Del Webb Ponte Vedra is a worthwhile option to consider. Homes here come in many different sizes and are offered at many different prices, which makes Del Webb Ponte Vedra a reasonable choice for many.

The Basics

You will find a compelling array of amenities and features at Del Webb Ponte Vedra, which sprawls across more than 1,000 acres of pristine coastal land. Ultimately, this community will have nearly 2,000 homes. With 14 different floor plans and affordable price tags, Del Webb Ponte Vedra homes are exceptional deals. People who call Del Webb Ponte Vedra home get to live in first-rate houses and take advantage of a great mix of community features and amenities. The fact that this community is conveniently located between Jacksonville and St. Augustine doesn't hurt either.

Although this community doesn't have a dedicated golf course like so many other 55+ communities in Florida, there are plenty of golfing opportunities in Duval County and the surrounding area. Within the community itself, you will be able to take advantage of a broad array of prime features and amenities. A few of the highlights include:

  • The Anastasia Club – This 37,800-square-foot residents' club is where most of the action takes place. It includes a grand ballroom complete with a stage. A fully functional kitchen makes this a prime location for lavish parties and other fun events. The social cafe is a popular gathering place, and the fitness center makes it easy to stay on top of your exercise regimen. There's also a movement studio, an arts and crafts room and a library.
  • Learning Lounge – This is more than just a library. It has free Wi-Fi, so you can bring your laptop along and browse the Internet in peace. There is a fireplace too, which makes this a cozy place to spend time when temperatures drop.
  • Outdoor Activities – Del Webb Ponte Vedra enjoys a lot of great weather. Take advantage of it at the six bocce ball courts, eight pickle ball courts, six tennis courts and other prime outdoor amenities.
  • Pools – In addition to having an indoor pool, this community has a 7,500-square-foot outdoor pool. Finding a nice place to spend a few hours in the sun is easy too, thanks to the 23,000-square-foot sun deck.
  • Clubs and Classes – Enriching yourself is fun and easy at Del Webb Ponte Vedra. Popular options include book clubs, bingo, trivia nights, volunteer groups, jewelry making classes, genealogy groups, mahjongg clubs and much more. You're sure to find plenty of like-minded friends, and you'll build relationships that will last a lifetime.
  • Trails – Six miles of trails wend through Del Webb Ponte Vedra. Whether you explore them on foot or on a bicycle, you will have a blast. The community also offers easy access to the Nocatee Greenway, which is another trail network.
  • Spa – Enjoy a relaxing massage or relax in the steam room at the spa, which is located in the clubhouse.
  • Parks – Two event lawns provide more than enough space for special outdoor events. There's also a 1,200-square-foot barbecue pavilion. As a resident of Del Webb Ponte Vedra, you will enjoy premier access to Nocatee Community Park, which is right next door.
  • Events – The events schedule at Del Webb Ponte Vedra is always jam-packed with exciting things, so you'll always have something to look forward to while living there.
  • The Homes of Del Webb Ponte Vedra

    There are five main categories of homes at Del Webb Ponte Vedra. Carriage homes range in size from 1,400 square feet to 1,850 square feet and begin at $150,000. Garden homes are between 1,150 and 1,400 square feet in size, and they begin at $170,000. Classic homes begin at $220,000 and range in size from 1,600 to 2,200 square feet. Generation 1 homes are between 2,000 square feet and 2,400 square feet in size and begin at $260,000. Finally, glamorous Estate homes range in size from 2,300 to 2,600 square feet and begin at $280,000. Lots on the preserve and on the water are available.

    Duval County, Jacksonville and St. Augustine

    With its premium location in Jacksonville's tony Ponte Vedra area, this community is within easy driving distance of everything you could possibly want. In Jacksonville, you can enrich yourself with visits to the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and the Cummer Museum of Art. For shopping, there's St. Johns Town Center, which is a sprawling, open-air mall. You can always find great deals on designer goods at the St. Augustine Outlet Mall. The area is packed with phenomenal dining establishments, and there is a plethora of entertainment options as well. Immersing yourself in the great outdoors is easy, thanks to many local state parks. Prime fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities can be enjoyed with ease.

    Exceptional Living in Northeast Coastal Florida

    To get a taste for what Del Webb Ponte Vedra is like, you can stay there for a few days for a nominal fee. This is a great way to get a feel for what the community is all about before committing yourself to living there. Like so many other people, you're sure to be impressed by what you discover. The homes here include gourmet kitchens, screened enclosures, barrel-style roofs and other great features. The community couldn't be more welcoming or well-appointed.
