Longtime readers know of my affection towards townhouses or “paired villas” as some communities call them.
Part of this is due to the fact that they are just so darn convenient, and allow you to really just lock the door and leave to go travel or visit friends and family, without having to worry about anything, at least as far as upkeep of the outside of your home is concerned, and…perhaps most importantly…do it without sacrificing living space. Kind of like a condo.
Take one look at the Columbia from GL Homes at Valencia Del Sol in Tampa and you'll see what I mean.
The Columbia has 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, a Great Room, a Den/Optional 3rd Bedroom, a Screened and Covered Patio, and a 2-Car Garage. It has approximately 1,822 a/c sq. ft. and 2,545 total sq. ft.
Let's go inside and take a closer look!

The photo above gives you sort of an overview of the dining room and kitchen area. Don't let the two dining room tables you see there throw you off…that's a mirror along that wall.
A closer look at the kitchen. You'd be really hard-pressed to look at that kitchen and definitively state that its in a villa. That kitchen could hold its own in any number of single-family homes.
Plenty of space again here in the living room. Again, the Columbia is over 1,800 sq. ft. which is bigger than some entry level single-family homes, so you're not losing anything as far as the ability to stretch out is concerned.
GL Homes always does a neat job with their ceiling detail in their Master Bedrooms.
And this master bath with separate vanities ensures my wife and I won't be knocking elbows while we're brushing our teeth in the morning!
At the time of this writing the Columbia starts in the $400k's, but they of course have bigger/more expensive homes and smaller/less expensive homes available at Valencia Del Sol. To see them all request a full brochure below.
