Del Webb at Viera Community Review

Del Webb Viera is one of the newest Del Webb 55+ communities in Florida, and the first community Del Webb's parent company has developed in the “Space Coast” region of Florida in more than 20 years.

In this article, we'll take a closer look using the Location + Community + Home methodology that forms the basis of my book Pick the Right Place so that you can hopefully figure out if this might be a place you'd like to learn more about.

Location

Located in Melbourne, near other popular coastal Brevard County destinations like Satelite Beach and Cocoa Beach, Viera is a master-planned community of with more than 33,000 residents, 14,000 homes, 860 businesses, 3.8 million sq. ft. of commercial space, and still growing. Viera’s Town Center district features events, dining, shopping, and recreation.

Viera is about a 10-minute drive to the beach.

Health First’s Viera Hospital, a Medical Office Park, and Pro-Health and Fitness Center combine to be the only healthcare campus combining health, wellness and disease prevention in Brevard County. There's also a VA clinic in Viera.

Melbourne Orlando Internaional is the closest airport and the one most likely to be used by residents of Viera.

Del Webb at Viera is just one small portion of the overall master plan here, but it's an important one, as it is one of the few 55+ neighborhoods within Viera. Also, 40% of Brevard county's population is 55+ so the more communities like this in the area, the merrier.

Community

The highlight of Del Webb Viera will be the 30,000 sq. ft. clubhouse. Del Webb has perfected the 55+ lifestyle over the last few decades, so you should expect this place to be nothing short of spectacular.

Del Webb at Viera is infused with coastal and Caribbean influences, and you'll feel that most at the clubhouse. Amenities will include a resort-style pool, cabana oasis, tennis and pickle ball courts, state-of-the-art fitness center, community garden, barefoot bar with food and beverage service, walking and biking trails, event lawn, dog park, and more.

Homes

Del Webb is offering floorplans from three home series in Del Webb Viera, and those include the Scenic, Distinctive, and Echelon series. These are all single-family homes, and there are currently no attached villas offered here.

Scenic Series – Contour, Compass, Hallmark

Distinctive Series – Prosperity, Mystique, Palmary, Mainstay, Prestige

Echelon Series – Stardom, Stellar, Reverance, Renown, Stellar Grand

Homes here at Del Webb Viera start in the $300k's and they generally get bigger and more expensive as you progress through the three series.
