Del Webb Oak Creek in Fort Myers Review

by Ryan Erisman | Originally Published: February 25, 2022 | Last Updated: June 8, 2022

Set to open in mid-2022, Del Webb Oak Creek in Fort Myers is yet another addition to the long list of Del Webb communities in Florida.

Here's an overview of what's to come here:

Del Webb Oak Creek Quick Facts

  • Size: 821 single family homes
  • Price Range: Starting Low $300k's
  • Floorplans: 12 designs to choose from, ranging from 2-4 bedrooms. 3-car garage plans are available

Location

Del Webb Oak Creek is located in North Fort Myers, off of Bayshore Road, approximately 1 mile west of I-75.

Here's a map showing you exactly where it is:

A Publix grocery store is just 2 miles away, and places like Costco, Super Target, Bass Pro and Home Goods at Gulf Coast Town Center are all within 15 minutes of the community.

The closest major hospital, Lee Memorial, is about 10 miles away.

Fort Myers is known for having plenty of outdoor activities including golfing, kayaking, boating, and fishing.

And of course there are a ton of great restaurants not too far away.

Community Amenities

Like most Del Webb communities, Del Webb Oak Creek will have a long list of amenities for residents to enjoy, including a 6-acre resort style amenity center with:

  • Resort Pool with Lap Lanes
  • Fire Pit Gathering Area
  • Poolside Bar & Grill Restaurant
  • 8 Pickleball Courts
  • 3 Bocce Ball Courts
  • Spa
  • Fitness Center
  • and more

Del Webb will be offering 12 different floorplans here from their “Scenic”, “Distinctive”, and “Echelon” home series.

At the time of this writing, prices are listed as being “Low $300k's”.

I mention this in just about every Del Webb article I write, but for the most part Del Webb builds the same floorplans across most of their different communities here in Florida, and the thinking behind this is that they have decades of experience under their belt as far as knowing what kinds of floorplans prospective buyers are looking for, so why reinvent the wheel?

Final Thoughts

What sets most communities apart from others, whether it's a Del Webb community or some other 55+ brand, is the location. In my opinion that's really most important.

So if the Fort Myers area is on your short list, this community is definitely one you'll want to check out once it opens later this year.

I'll update this post as it gets closer to opening. Be sure to subscribe to my free email newsletter so you don't miss any future updates.
