For anyone considering the Saxony, the appeal is definitely the simplicity. This floorplan contains all of the most popular features you will find in new homes here in Florida, but you aren't wasting any effort or space on anything unnecessary. If you are downsizing into a simpler lifestyle, this is a perfect option. Let's head inside and take a look around!
From this view inside the house, you can see the front door and entry way. As you enter, the guest bedroom and guest bathroom are both located off to the side.
In this model, the guest bedroom is actually being used as a home office. Depending on your needs, you might want to do something similar. Or you can just use it as a second bedroom for hosting guests.
Either way, the room is pretty well isolated from the rest of the house, and its close access to the guest bathroom makes it feel like its own private suite.
The guest bathroom is a full bath that is located right next to the guest bedroom. There is also a good sized linen closet in the short hallway connecting the two rooms.
As we head back into the heart of the house, we will pass a flex room that is also set up as a home office. This space could be used as a study or den, a library, or anything else you might have in mind.
Walking a little further down the hall will bring you right into the kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances and tons of cabinet space. The two-level island in the middle of the kitchen is a long, rectangle shape that offers seating for three.
Off to the side of the kitchen is a really convenient built-in desk area. This is the third different potential office space we have seen thus far, so you will definitely have some options with regards to your own home office here.
On one side of the back of the house we have a living room area that is right off of the kitchen. All of the windows along the back of the house allow for a lot of natural light in this area. There is also a covered lanai that runs the entire width of the great room off the back of the house.
On the other side of the great room is the dining area, which contains a chandelier and sliding glass door access to the covered lanai.
Off to the left of this picture, you can see the entrance to the master suite.
The master bedroom also contains plenty of windows to allow for more than enough natural light.
From the reverse view, you can see that the master bathroom is right next to the door from the great room.
The master bathroom has a full-width mirror with his and hers sinks and lots of cabinet space.
There is also plenty more storage in the huge walk-in closet right off of the master bathroom. Those closet organizers would make finding and orgnizing your wardrobe a breeze!
Heading back towards the front of the house, this flex room is located right behind the two-car garage and can be accessed either from the garage or right from the kitchen. There is a lot of extra space here for any projects that you might not be able to fit into theĀ other rooms.
And if you have never had cabinets above your washer and dryer space, this will be your new oasis!
As you can see, this cozy little floorplan contains all of the features that the typical boomer is looking for without getting caught up in flashy, over-the-top details.
